I am a Bolton living in New Brunswick, Canada. I recently matched a Y-DNA test with a Darren Bolton who traces his family back to Great Bowden. My great-great grandfather Samuel (I think) Bolton at age 7 was orphaned in England in a cholera epidemic, his sister Annie also survived. He ended by immigrating to Canada about 1811, age 15, and of course left descendants. He must have been born about 1796 and the epidemic occurred around 1803.
